Mysteryville is a hidden-object game in which you help a journalist investigate the disappearance of the town's cats. Throughout the game, you will visit different locations playing hidden-object games. In all scenes, you will be required to find a list of objects and also several objects of the same kind. If you have trouble finding an item, you can use the hints (here called tips) which are unlimited, but take some time to recharge. When using one, be very attentive since they only last a few seconds and sometimes is not so easy to spot them. As you advance in the game, you are also told the story and your progress in the investigation by means of dialogues with different characters. Sometimes you will even be given the option of selecting the most suitable answer.
To be honest, the game isn't really challenging and gets a bit repetitive after a while. Unfortunately, there's only one mode and there are no mini-games to add some variety and cut the hidden-object gameplay a bit. It could work for kids or beginners, but advanced players of this genre, should definitely look elsewhere.
Regarding the graphics, they are nice, but not really impressive. Sound effects are average and the music is very repetitive.
To sum up, Mysteryville is just another hidden-object game, which certainly doesn't have anything new or impressive. Besides, there are thousands of better games of this genre.
